Mulwaree High School in Goulburn

M Funk is an ensemble of year 11 and 12 students from Mulwaree High School in Goulburn. They formed in 2017 as a group of year 7 and 8 students, and have remained together ever since to bring funky and upbeat tunes to audiences. They have played at ‘Specfest’ as part of the School Spectacular, and have also played in many community-based performances around the Southern Highlands. Sunday Morning was originally performed by American band ‘No Doubt’.

Madness is an original piece of music written by Cinnamon in year 9 and performed with her band Stereo.  Madness is about the feelings and worries during lockdown and the frustration of not being heard , and also the excitement at what could change after.

The music is heavy and melodic with multiple sections and featuring a warm bass solo driving through the rhythm
