Make Music Month – City of Moreton Bay
June 1 - June 30
We are turning up the volume at City of Moreton Bay’s galleries, museums, libraries and beyond with a month-long music trail in June. Enjoy free events, live performances, jam sessions, workshops, and more as we put music on the map in Moreton Bay.
City of Moreton Bay’s Cultural Services venues are about to become the new favourite haunts of music lovers and music makers. You will be able to make your own sensational sounds or tune into a local performer in all corners of the region.
From rock to reggae, classical to contemporary, we are serving up a musical buffet for every taste. Fun for kids or old favourites – there will be something for everyone during Make Music Month. Gather your friends and family, join the chorus and create unforgettable musical memories.
Make Music Month also includes International Make Music Day, which is celebrated around the world on 21 June. On that day, get involved with six different jam sessions around the region − from ukuleles at Caboolture Library and Bribie Island Seaside Museums to kazoos at Strathpine Library, an all-abilities session jam session at Redcliffe Library, freestyle rap and looping at North Lakes Library, and jazz at Redcliffe Art Gallery.
Check out the incredible line-up of local talented musicians performing right across Moreton Bay this June.
