Make Music Day ORC

Orange Regional Conservatorium presents Make Music Day at the Orange Function Centre, Friday 21st June, 2024.
20 schools, 200+ performers, visiting artists, guest conductors, dozens of local school and ORC staff. This event brings together an enormous community for one purpose – to Make Music! A visit from Sydney-based Caribé perfectly coincides with the day to bring a musical workshop to small schools from around Orange. At exactly the same time, an army of woodwind, brass, string, percussionists, and more will be descending on the Orange Function Centre to rehearse ahead of the afternoon’s entertainment. Primary and High School alike will mix-and-match their way through the concert that features concert bands, string ensembles, choirs, and more. The stage will be set – some 150 chairs, stands, countless percussion instruments, guitar amps, keyboards, and more will take up a seriously large part of the stage and it will be the musician’s jobs to lift the roof with their sound as they combine under the baton of Chris Mickle, Stephanie Li, and Alina Zborowski, and more.
The Concert Extravaganza Event begins at 1pm and is free to all!
