Blacktown City Council Presents Lorenzo & Friends for Make Music Australia Day

Blacktown City Council is proud to present Lorenzo & Friends for Make Music Australia.  We hope you enjoy their performance, available to view at any time on our Council Facebook page from 9:00am on the 21st of June.

Lorenzo Rositano

• An Italianate Operatic Tenor who began singing at the age of 7. He studied and toured in the UK, Italy and completed his studies in Australia at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Masters in Opera.
• Lorenzo appears regularly as a featured soloist on Australian TV. His most recent TV appearance was his performance of Nessun Dorma in the Australia Day Concert, live from the iconic Sydney Opera House.
• Since Lorenzo’s return to Australia from Italy at the end of 2014, he has made it his mission to bring Opera more regularly to Western Sydney. Consequently, Lorenzo is the Founder & Artistic Director of Western Sydney Opera.

Alice Girle

• A classically trained Soprano, completing a Masters of Performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and she also holds a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
• Alice has performed and recorded with The Seven Sopranos and The Sydney Symphony Orchestra.In 2014 Alice attended the Bel Canto Institute in Florence, Italy where she was awarded two prestigious concert awards – a concert series in New York and a performance with the London Philharmonia Orchestra London.

Glenn Amer

• A classically trained singer and pianist. He studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and at the tender age of 13, Glenn participated in the studios of Geoffrey Parsons (piano) and Erich Vietheer (voice) in London.
• Back in Australia, Glenn was on staff at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney as both voice teacher and vocal coach from 1997 to 2004 and, concurrently, guest coach for the National Academy of Music (based in Melbourne).
• For many years, Glenn was the exclusive accompanist to Soprano, Rita Hunter CBE and dramatic tenor Horst Hoffmann. He regularly appears in concert with many other equally renowned singers.
• Glenn is also a featured Headline Entertainer on high end cruise lines. Touring with these companies has taken him all over the world and, extensively, throughout Australia.
