Music making in Australia is supported by a wide range of institutions, including venues, schools, arts organisations, festivals, and community organisations. We take a particular interest in community-based music organisations because Make Music Australia is all about getting people to make music together, whoever they are, wherever they are, whatever music they make.

There are hundreds of great community music organisations and ensembles around Australia, and there are a number of peak bodies representing these organisations.

The Make Music Network aims to bring these groups together, to promote the work they are doing, encourage participation in music making and in Make Music Day, and make connections across quite different areas of music making.
