Make Music with the Bush Music Club: Traditional Australian Bush and Folk Music Slow Session
June 21 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Bring your acoustic instrument and join in the fun with Make Music Day at the Bush Music Club – Sydney’s oldest folk club, incorporated in 1954.
The Bush Music Club plays traditional songs collected from all over Australia and some bush dance favourites.
Session playing is playing by ear or from a song book, with other musicians. Players of all levels, all acoustic instruments are welcome. Some popular instruments at our sessions are guitar, violin, mandolin, recorder, tin whistle, accordion, concertina and the old bush favourite – the lagerphone.
The Slow Session is geared towards introducing songs to players and slowing down the pace to have greater control while playing the intricacies of traditional music.
