Make Music in the Hills
The hills of Melbourne come alive celebrating music as part of the international Make Music Day. Centred in the township of Emerald but including the adjoining areas of the wider Dandenong Ranges, Make Music in the Hills encourages community music making through a variety of activities. Harnessing the imagination, organisation and enthusiasm of existing community groups, Make Music in the Hills presents a wide variety of musicians in performances, workshops, jam sessions and even roving minstrels. 2018 saw a number of activities involving several hundreds of people impacted by its music activities. 2019 seeks to create a bigger impact through a day filled with numerous programmed activities encouraging sharing, communication and mutually supportive activities.
