Make Music Day at Sydney Olympic Park
June 19 @ 9:30 am - June 21 @ 2:00 pm
Sydney Olympic Park celebrating Make Music Day as part of The Festival of Place.
This year, we’ve ramped up our celebration of Make Music Day at Sydney Olympic Park and we’ll be celebrating this most universal of all artforms – MUSIC – at multiple locations over three days in June.
Saturday 19 June 11am – 6pm Abattoir Heritage Precinct
As part of the Winter Garden Festival, we’ll be turning up the dial on Live Music with a great program of local acts throughout the day. There’ll be dozens of stalls, kids activities, great food, a bar and lots of tunes provided by six acts drawn from the fresh and lively western Sydney music scene.
Sunday 20 June 9.30am – 12pm Cathy Freeman Park, then lunchtime to early evening, Ribs ‘n’ Rumps
The Lolo Lovina Gypsy Caravan will be rolling in to town to play some tunes. And down at Ribs ‘n’ Rumps, you can enjoy great food, drink and music as this local restaurant comes alive with a mix of jazz and roots music bands.
Monday 21 June 12-2pm Jacaranda Square
Join us for the launch of our new Plug ‘n’ Play Live Music Hub for a lunchtime in the Park musical session. We’re busy curating a program of acts comprising the best the West live music scene has to offer.
City of Parramatta and the Sydney Olympic Park Authority join forces to present live music for Make Music Day across multiple public spaces from the morning to the evening on Monday 21 June. Places including Parramatta Square, Jacaranda Square, Olympic Park Railway Station, Cathy Freeman Park, the Abattoir Heritage Precinct and Epping Railway Station. The program will include 30 acts from Western Sydney’s vibrant live music scene. From jams and open mic spaces to music from shipping containers, on railway stations and concerts in Parramatta Square.
