Giant Jam Session
June 21 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Cellar Folk Club is very excited to announce that in collaboration with Beer Garden Brewing Port Lincoln we have planned a Giant Jam Session to celebrate Make Music Day!
Free to enter and participate, we ask you to show your support for the Beer Garden and their commitment to local live music by grabbing a drink, something to eat and visiting them again another time. (Support local and local will support you!)
On Saturday June 21st we will be setting up about 1:30 ready to jam about 2pm at Beer Garden Brewing on London St Port Lincoln. A Jam Session booklet will be provided electronically for all those who register and we’ll have a few printed copies on the day. This is a terrific opportunity if you haven’t really played with other people before to come along and be swept up into the absolute joy that is playing music as part a group.
All acoustic instruments are welcome except full drum sets as there just isn’t the room. Hand percussion and a snare or cajun drum is fine. Contact Bec 0474 101 546 for further information and to register your attendance.
“Ours will be a community oriented, mainly unplugged jam session with the focus on participation using well known 3-4 chord songs and repeated chord progressions. There will be people leading each of the songs who will be plugged into sound and opportunities for a few people to play instrumental improvised solos.
We have this vision of bringing a diverse range of people together collaborating to create something beautiful through our shared love of music.
We want to acknowledge the support of Brooke and Boof at Beer Garden Brewing who have enabled us to provide this free community event for Make Music Day. They are amazing supporters of local, live music.” Bec Bach – Cellar Folk Club
