*****You are invited to Eat, Dance and Sing/chant/Pray together*****
As part of supporting the international Make Music Day, in the program known as “Make Music in the Hills” Kellie Grattidge a Dance Leader in the Dances of Universal Peace (DOUP) is facilitating an event on Friday the 21st of June at Emerald Community House Hall.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience meditative, joyous circle dances based on sacred phrases, scripture, poetry, and traditional songs from many diverse cultures, spiritual traditions & religions around the world; The movements are basic steps and gestures often expressing what is sung.
The event is not an ordinary concert where people come to get entertained. It’s a gathering where we have the opportunity to Eat, Dance & Chant/Sing/Pray together. Themes will be focused around Peace, Earth, Winter Solstice & More.
No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to join in and learn. If you can walk you can dance, if you can talk you can sing
Please bring plate of wholesome food to share

“The Dances change lives.
And the world changes, life by life.
All over the earth people long for an actual experience of
reverence for the earth and life,in all its forms.
The Dances show how.”
